HOMES Stay Myeongdong

The rooms are small and basic, and it's a 15-minute walk to the center of Myeongdong. There are only two elevators for the whole building, and they're painfully slow. Service was basically nonexistent, and the breakfast buffet was very basic too. Could work for a budget stay if you don't mind being around young people getting cosmetic surgery.

The location was really convenient, near the station, airport pickup bus, Myeongdong shopping, and food streets. It felt worth the money. We stayed for a week with clothes for all seven days and had plenty of storage, plus enough room for our four suitcases. The space was decent and very practical, with a modern, simple look. It had a fridge, microwave, and the other things you might need. No floor carpet was a big plus for our dust allergies, and the air-conditioning worked perfectly in the warm weather. It was kept clean, and housekeeping regularly cleaned the room and brought fresh towels.

The lifts are painfully slow, so I wouldn't recommend staying here. And it's quite far from myeongdong, out in the outer area rather than on the busy street.

Chungmuro station is right there, and the airport transfer bus stops below the apartments, so the location is a big plus. The washing machine was useful, though we had to bring our own detergent. Our kettle wouldn't work because of its connection. Staff couldn't fix it, so we switched connections ourselves to get it going. Access to myeongdong and the airport is good overall.
