K-Guesthouse Dongdaemun Premium 2

This place is close to Dongdaemun station, easy to reach on foot, and there are lots of convenience stores around. The staff are nice, but they aren’t there at night if something goes wrong or there’s an emergency. I booked because I wanted a low-cost stay. At check-in the room temperature seemed okay, and although cleanliness was only so-so, I tried to accept that for the budget. But when I came back at night, the air was very hot. You couldn’t adjust it because the hotel said they only offer warm AC, something they hadn’t mentioned beforehand. I also told them the wifi wasn’t working and tried everything before they replied in the morning. They just repeated the same instructions. If you can’t handle hot AC, poor cleanliness, and no help overnight, find somewhere else.

The view was great on one side, and the location is convenient, with lots of dead malls and bootleg sellers nearby. But the rooms were moldy, and they only get cleaned if you ask. I think the AC works, and having WiFi in each room was a plus. We were unexpectedly told by a woman to leave the Lounge after 11, with no sign explaining the rule. I probably wouldn't stay longer than two days unless I had to.

Getting around was easy, with buses and subway stops close by, and the airport limousine bus is only a short walk away. The shower had good space and plenty of hot water. Breakfast was okay. I did spot one small insect, which might bother some people, but we had a good stay overall.

The hotel is close to the train station, so it was easy to get wherever we wanted. Breakfast is available from 8am to 10am, with guests serving themselves and cleaning up afterward. There’s an iron on the 3rd floor and a drinking water machine on every floor. We stayed from 6 Sept to 10 Sept. I forgot to take a photo to upload. The room was acceptable, though a little small. There was still enough space to open a suitcase and get things out. Soap, body wash, shampoo, and conditioner were provided, but I used my own. I noticed water marks on the ceiling, probably from moisture, but that was still acceptable to me.
