This is good value, very clean, and the guy running it is super nice. The bed is very firm, although that seems pretty standard in many places. The check-in process wasn’t clear. There’s no warning that you need WeChat, Kakao Chat, or Line, and if you’re not from or living in Asia, you may not have any of them. I only had one because I lived in Thailand for three months. I’m not sure how you’re meant to contact the guy to check in without one.

The bed is clean, but checking in was confusing. You can’t arrive early, and Sunday check-in isn’t until 4:30 pm. I tried calling the owner to get the PIN so I could leave my bags, but he didn’t answer. While I was staying at the hostel, my online booking was suddenly canceled and refunded. The owner then rushed over and collected more money for the stay than I’d paid online. Also, when you use the bathroom in the room, other people can hear you, and it disturbs them.

The rooms and bathroom were clean and nice, and people respected quiet time. It’s well situated, just a short walk from gangam station and close to everything you need, including good restaurants and a grocery store. The boss was very nice and helpful, and did his best to communicate in English, which I appreciated. I also met other travellers, and we had a lot of fun. 10/10, really nice.
