K-Guesthouse Myeongdong 4

The walls were so thin I could hear the neighbors snoring and even farting, and the cleaners and staff were very unapproachable. There’s nothing good I can say about this hotel. Everything was moldy, dusty, and dirty, including smelly, filthy bedsheets. We couldn’t sleep comfortably and were afraid to use anything they provided. It’s the most disgusting hotel I’ve ever stayed in. I genuinely hope it shuts down.

Right in the heart of Myndong night market, so the location is good. The front desk staff were helpful and spoke very good English. There’s water, hot water, and coffee available in the kitchen on the fourth floor. A decent place for a short stay.

The location is great, but the rooms were absolutely disgusting. Our bathroom had mold everywhere, the window sill was covered in dirt, and there were stains all over the walls. Every towel had stains, and the bedsheets were dirty too. We’d booked five days, but checked out after the first night. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed at.

The reception guys were very kind. One man carried my luggage to the room and reminded me to take an umbrella because it looked like rain. You can leave bags there before check-in or after checkout, and borrow the hotel umbrella. I’d definitely come back, and I’d recommend it to solo women travelers. I arrived at 9am, but there was no receptionist at the counter, so I left my bags and went on with my day. Check-in was smooth when I returned at 5pm. On my first day I caught a flu and cough, which I put down to the dust-clogged ceiling catcher. I cleaned it myself, and slept much better the next night. The bedsheets and towel were clean, and the bathroom was clean too. My single room was very small. There’s no room service, and they don’t change towels daily. You have to pick one up at reception. The toilet has no bidet, and toiletries come in small packets, so bring your own if you plan to stay. The location is very convenient.
