The hotel is in a convenient area, with a subway station right in front, and the location was not bad. But if cleanliness or service matters to you, I wouldn't choose this place. I will never come back. My booking showed “2 people standard, maximum 3 people,” and the price looked the same whether I selected two or three guests. At check-in, I was told the rate covered only two people and was charged extra for the third. The terms did mention an extra charge, but the booking screen didn't make it clear, which was confusing and inconvenient. For three guests, we got only two towels and two pairs of slippers, and there wasn't even basic soap. The clothing from the hotel smelled sour when I opened the package, so I threw it away right away. Cleanliness was poor as well. There were stains, possible blood marks, and other lasting marks, suggesting regular cleaning had been neglected. Seeing that on the bed made me very uncomfortable. The room was recently renovated, with a nice size and bathroom, and I found it good value for money. But the interior felt different from the photos, which surprised me. I paid ₩124.000 for about two nights. The place has more of a motel feel than a hotel. The small alley location felt unsafe, and there isn't much around it, with few convenience stores or restaurants. Still, Cheonggyecheon, Gwangjangsijang, Gwangjang Market, and Euljilo are nearby. Getting a taxi isn't possible here, which could be a problem in the rain or with lots of luggage.

The bedding was the one real problem. There was some foreign matter on it, and I felt extremely itchy sleeping under it. My travel companions felt the same. Otherwise, the bedroom was spacious and I was generally satisfied. The restroom and bathroom were clean, and the new hotel's modern interior was clean and well maintained. It's in Gwansu-dong, Jongno-gu, Seoul, about 100 meters from Exit 15 of Jongno 3-ga Station. Restaurants are nearby, including Bossam Alley. 24.11.9
