Kiwa Hostel

The location made my five nights at Kiwa Hostel easy: COEX and The Hyundai are close, and there are plenty of restaurants around. It was my first hostel stay as a solo traveler, on a last-minute New Year’s trip, and for an affordable place it did the job. I'd recommend it to solo travelers on a budget if they know what to expect. I probably wouldn't come back myself, though. I'm a bit bougie. 😅 I booked a suite expecting a proper door, but it only had a curtain. That was manageable, but better soundproofing or a door would've helped. You can hear lockers opening, the main door, and curtains sliding. The door also slams shut and can be noisy at night. The bathroom was mostly clean and modern. There isn't a shower on the 7th floor, so I had to go down to the 6th. Some showers ran much too hot or had clogged drains. I used the far-left one every day since it was the most consistent and felt normal.

The lounge is nice, and there's coffee. I'd suggest the suite if you want room for your luggage. The place is new, and it's a good alternative to a hostel with bunk beds. Just know that the showers are on a different floor from the sleeping area, and water gets all over when you shower.

The staff are really helpful. The place is very clean and pretty much new, so I definitely recommend it.
