KSTAR Metro Hotel

I really appreciated that they held my large suitcase between my two visits. I stayed two nights, spent some time with a friend, then came back for another two. The hotel is handy for shopping and the subway, with Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station (Exit 13) a short walk away. Exit 12, across the street, has an elevator, and there’s a direct airport bus to DDP. On my first visit I checked in myself at about 5 a.m. The room was unlocked and the key was inside, which worried me at first, but it all went smoothly. On my return I was on the 8th floor, where entry needed a passcode. That felt more secure than the 7th floor, so I’d ask for the 8th if you can. The hallway was cozy, with framed art, and there was a little coffee and laundry area. The 7th floor had tables for eating. The room was tiny but I could open a small suitcase. A large one would be easier if it opened from the top. There was a small TV for Korean shows and a mini fridge that held about 4-5 500ml water bottles. The bathroom was basic and worked fine. The shower uses the sink faucet, and a handle switches the water over. I forgot once and got my freshly dried hair wet. Just something to watch for. Clean, cozy, and well located. I’d recommend it for solo travelers or a short stay.
