Bukchondami

Right inside Bukchon Hanok Village, with Bukcheon Yukgyeong next door. The breakfast was superb, especially the abalone porridge and kimchi. I’d like to visit again.

The owner was so considerate, and breakfast abalone porridge made for leisurely mornings, even though I felt the accommodation was a little expensive. There were plenty of towels and blankets, and they had all the small things covered too, like coffee, paper cups, wet wipes, and use of the refrigerator and sink. They’d provide anything we might have forgotten, which was very convenient. I loved the cozy, antique Hanok. The patio tables and parasols were nice for having a cup of tea or a beer. Every room has its own bathroom, and there are shared restrooms in the living room and outside, so even with a big group we weren’t inconvenienced. This is also where the movie 'The Day Min-woo Comes' was filmed.

Breakfast was included, and the abalone porridge and side dishes were delicious. The owners are friendly, and the place is within walking distance of Bukchon Hanok Village, Ikseon-dong, and Samcheong-dong. Parking is available if you contact them ahead of time. Check-out is at 11:00 AM, but unless there’s a special reason, you can leave your car a bit longer and explore before heading off. The gate locks at 11:00 PM, and you can watch TV in the living room until then. Moon Chae-won and Go Soo filmed the movie "The Day Min-woo Comes" here.

The abalone porridge at breakfast was delicious. Jiknyeobang seemed a little cramped for three people, but apart from having to use the shared bathroom, it was fine.
