Lee Kang Ga Guesthouse

For under $50 on a last minute deal, this was great value. I stayed one night, so I can only speak to one breakfast: the Korean food was cooked fresh as we came into the dining area, and toast and cereal were there for a simple Western option. The guest house was clean, the bed was firm but comfortable, and the toiletries were complete. The in-house setting was beautiful too. Two thumbs up.

The room was really comfortable, and the staff welcomed us warmly and let us leave our bags while it was being prepared. We did get lost trying to find the place, but it was worth it. I picked it because it was the closest traditional Korean house where my friends and I could stay, and the mix of modern and traditional Korean home style didn't disappoint. I'd come back and stay longer.

Our luggage went missing at the airport, then arrived before 7am. The staff left it by our door without waking us, which was so kind. They're helpful and very nice, even though they spoke only a little English. The rooftop terrace has a nice view, and breakfast and coffee were ready in the morning. It's a great little place near the busy action of Hongdae.

The hosts spoke very little English, but their hospitality came through in the small things they did for us. I loved how they'd made the space feel modern while still reflecting Korean traditions and culture. Really enjoyed staying here.
