It was affordable and the location made getting around easy, with four subway lines and plenty of places to eat nearby. The neighborhood itself was very quiet, but the thin walls carried the sound of neighbors partying until early morning and doing laundry at midnight, which badly affected our sleep. Our double twin room was so cramped that the two suitcases had to sit on the floor between the beds, making it awkward and unsafe to move around. Housekeeping was sparse: hair remained in the shower, complimentary water wasn't reliably replaced, and there were no clean dishes. Guests are meant to wash dishes themselves, but there was no soap or sponge. A spill was left in the communal hallway microwave, and the bathroom fan made a loud, ongoing growling noise as it seemed to be dying. The property feels more like a long-term residence than a regular hotel, with too few basic services and poor maintenance. Despite the low price and convenient location, I wouldn't stay here again.

A teddy bear my boyfriend and I brought along disappeared after housekeeping came into our room. It means a lot to us because it was a gift marking the start of our relationship, and we are 200% sure we left it there that day. We asked the hotel staff several times to help search, but all they said was “cannot find.” At checkout I left my email with the front desk and asked them to contact me if it turned up. The woman there said they had tried everything and would let us know if there were updates. As I accepted that and started to leave, another staff woman came over and whispered “good job” in Korean to the woman who had been talking to me. It felt like she was congratulating her for getting rid of me. Also, the cleaning lady gave us a dirty sheet with dead bugs on it. When my boyfriend asked for a replacement, they charged him $20. Absolutely ridiculous. If you're okay with belongings going missing and no apparent effort to find them, then stay here.

The hotel was in good condition and worth the price. Myeongdong is nearby, as are the metro and bus stations. The hosts were perfect, and I highly recommend it.
