Moxy Seoul Myeongdong

The room was small, but the bed and pillow were comfortable. The service was very good, and the location is in the Myeongdong hot spot, with Uber handy for trips elsewhere. There’s free self-service laundry, a convenience store downstairs, and complimentary Nespresso coffee in the lobby.

We stayed in April 2026 and would book here again if we return. The restaurant served great food at a really cheap price, and the free laundry room was a nice extra. We managed to do a couple of loads during our stay. The room was smaller than ones we’ve had before, but it had everything we needed. The staff were lovely and friendly. We were right beside the Myeongdong shopping area and night market, yet didn’t hear anything at night. The underground and local bus stops were also right nearby, so getting around was easy.

I left something valuable in the room by accident after checking out, and the staff went out of their way to secure it and return it. Their hospitality was above and beyond what I’ve experienced even at five-star hotels. I stayed five nights in December 2025, and the service made this my best hotel experience, despite having stayed at more than 100 Marriott and Hyatt properties. The room was very clean and practical. Breakfast was delicious, with Korean and Western dishes, though there wasn’t as much variety as at larger hotels. The location in the heart of Myeongdong was unbeatable, and the rooms were well insulated, so street noise didn’t come through.

I traveled with my parents, sister, and niece for a week, and the staff were incredibly accommodating. The beds initially felt firmer than we liked, but the hotel supplied toppers that made a noticeable difference. Food was important for us because my mom has diabetes and my dad follows a strict diet, so they often ate breakfast and dinner at the hotel. They liked the range of breakfast choices and especially the salmon at dinner, which was tasty and reasonably priced. The location was another plus, right in Myeongdong and walkable to shops, restaurants, and street food. My dad, sister, and I drink a lot of coffee, so having a 24/7 coffee machine with unlimited use saved us quite a bit. We also appreciated the filtered water dispenser in the room. It was convenient and meant we didn’t need to buy bottled water. We’d absolutely stay again. For us, it was a 10/10 experience.
