Myeong-Dong (Chungmuro) Jin Forest Inn

The rooms are small but clean, and this place is good for budget travellers. You can get unlimited water and towels from the hallway. Stay at least 2 nights and they'll clean your room, or stay 3 or more nights for one free laundry service. There are no elevators, so with heavy luggage you might want to ask for a first-floor room. Chungmuro station is an easy walk, and there are convenience stores close by when you need something.

The staff were fantastic, and being able to pick up towels or water whenever we wanted was really great. The room was very small, though, and the beds were the worst I've ever slept on. The pillows were terrible too, but asking for an extra one helped a bit. A bright white light outside our room kept it lit up because the blinds weren't good, and we could hear the subway trains running regularly. You can't expect too much for the price, but the beds were a big letdown. The location was absolutely excellent, honestly couldn't have asked for a better place to stay in Seoul.

The bathroom gets soaked after a shower since there’s no curtain. Still, the room was clean and water was free, and the guy with glasses was really helpful. The woman at the front door came across as careless and a bit rude. I had a good stay overall and would come back.

Free laundry during our four-night stay was a nice perk, and they let us leave our bags before check-in. The place suits people who are out most of the day, and I’d recommend it for a solo traveler or a couple, though not a family. Staff were helpful, the place smelled lovely, Agoda questions got quick replies, and towels could be changed daily if requested. The bathroom especially lacked ventilation, and check-in at 9pm felt late. From booking through checkout, though, the service was great.
