We spent a week here in April and May 2025, on our first trip to Korea, and found the culturally different, iconic stay we were hoping for. Mr Lee and his wife were lovely, friendly, and accommodating. When we had a problem one evening, they dropped their plans and came over to sort it out almost immediately. The rooms were nice, the bathrooms fully equipped, and Mr and Mrs Lee had left plenty of goodies in the kitchen. After leaving the Hanok, we stayed in two other places, but neither had the same warmth or feel as NamHyunDang. We loved it here!

The bedroom was small but cozy, with heated floors, and breakfast was more than enough. Mr. Lee, his sister, and the others were very friendly. He helped me find more information about our trip to Ulleung-do and even lent me his foldable parka. There’s a shared kitchen for heating things up. The location is great, near Bunchok Hanok Village, Insa-dong, banks for money exchange, subway stations, shops, and restaurants. It can be tricky to find at first, but the alley is right beside the elementary school's front gate.
