The two shared bathrooms could mean a wait when the guest-house is full, but I still had a really good stay at Namu. It felt clean, cosy, safe, and welcoming, and the washing machine was a real bonus during our stay of more than 16 days in Korea, since we didn’t want to carry so much luggage. The managers were lovely and always had advice or help, from directions to places we wanted to find to answering our questions about things we’d just bought. They even pointed us to the best Patbingsu, which made the stay more enjoyable. The guest-house is in a quiet neighbourhood with food and coffee spots on the way to the metro, which isn’t far. Hongdae is interesting by day and night, so we didn’t have to go far for a good time.

It’s a lively college neighborhood, and a good, inexpensive guesthouse right in central Seoul. The subway is about a 10 minute walk away. Most places of interest are only a few stops from there, so getting around isn’t too inconvenient.

The free breakfast was a welcome perk, since we didn’t have to find somewhere to eat before heading out to sightsee. The accommodation was well kept, and the staff were super friendly. One of the best guesthouses I’ve stayed in.

It’s suitable for families or longer stays, though it may be a little hard to find if you’re new to Korea. Hongdae is a 15-20 minute walk away.

The host was really helpful and had lots of good tips. The place was comfortable, clean, well equipped, and thoughtfully set up.
