Hotel Myeongdongjang

The staff were nice, and for a reasonable price the hotel is conveniently placed in the middle of Myeongdong street. It was easy to get there by airport bus, and check-in and check-out were straightforward. The room was clean but pretty small, with no soundproofing. Having a drinking water dispenser in the room was great. The common area had coffee, and there was a microwave, cutlery, and kitchenware for preparing your own food.

Getting there is easy, just about five minutes from Exit 6 at MyeongDong station. Check-in and checkout were hassle-free, and the room was roomy and comfortable. WiFi was free and fast, and the Smart TV had Netflix and YouTube. Bring your own toothbrush and toothpaste, since toiletries aren't provided.

The shared floor spaces had useful appliances, a luggage scale and spare towels, plus there was pay-per-use laundry on the third floor. There isn't a proper reception desk, but staff were easy to find in their office, often with the door open, or you could leave a note when it was closed. They were friendly and helped with our bags at both check-in and checkout. When we asked to switch rooms, they sorted it out quickly. The hotel is right in central Myeongdong, a few doors from the Hello Kitty cafe and around the corner from Fresh Bread Factory, where we picked up a tasty breakfast each morning. For anyone taking the airport bus, we used the 6015 back to the airport. It stops at the same place where it dropped us off, as it loops around. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

The laundry was a big help on our long trip. The card-operated washer and dryer both worked well. We also found the room and bathroom comfortable, the staff great, and the location fantastic. Such an amazing stay in Seoul!
