Good location, with Wi-Fi available, plus a kitchen and breakfast.

I got there around 4:30 PM for my 4:00 PM check-in, but nobody was at reception. I called the KakaoTalk contact number posted in the staff room and was given room 3 and its access code. I booked through Agoda, and only got the details by Agoda email after calling. That was inefficient, and I never met any front desk staff during my stay. I wish they’d sent the code and entry instructions ahead of time. The room was cleaner than I expected. It had a bunk bed and no window, plus an air conditioner with no remote. Since it was cold that time of year, the underfloor heating was enough. The attached bathroom was fairly spacious, with a shower and toilet, and the toilet paper could be flushed. They only supplied shampoo and body soap, but the four body towels and two hand towels were enough. It’s very close to Dongdaemun History & Culture Park Station, Exit 3, and there’s a CU convenience store nearby. Good access and a clean room, but not having anyone at the front desk was very inconvenient.

You’ll find this hostel right in front of Gwanghuimun Gate, close to Dongdaemun History and Culture Park Station. Exit 3 is the nearest subway entrance. It has an escalator, though you need to climb about 20 steps just before reaching it, so watch out if you have a suitcase. Exit 4, the next closest, has an elevator.

The room’s interior had a nice atmosphere, and I was surprised by how different it felt from outside. Getting around by public transport was very convenient, since it’s right in front of Dongdaemun History & Culture Park. The bedding had an unpleasant smell, though, and the bathroom was very small.
