Seollung Hotel Star

The place was spacious and reasonably priced, which worked well for me. I was there for a check-up at KMI Gangnam Center, and seeing all the great restaurants nearby made me practically desperate to eat.

Even if I miss the last train, I doubt I’ll stay here again.

The room’s warm floor made for a comfortable night, and the place was clean, with good water pressure and no bugs. The facilities are old but well kept, so it worked fine for a one-night stay. It did feel a bit like a guesthouse, Airbnb(?) or some old accommodation for foreigners, and there seemed to be many foreign guests. Soundproofing wasn’t great. Since it’s Seolleung, opening the window brought in cigarette and car exhaust smells. An air purifier would’ve been helpful.

There are restaurants and convenience stores close by, and getting to the hotel is easy since it’s right beside Seolleung Station. You can borrow an extra charger from the front desk. Toiletries are sold for 1,000 won, but you won’t find hair ties or other feminine hygiene items.
