For my longer stay of 18 nights, having a washing machine and dryer of my own was especially convenient. The room also had a mini fridge and was very comfortable and spacious, with lots of amenities like a hairdryer. I visited in autumn and winter, and could borrow a heating fan for the room, then leave it in the corridor when finished. Towels and toilet paper were available on every floor around the clock. The bathroom was a little small but fine. Emily was very helpful on Kakao, whether I had a room issue or wanted advice about the neighborhood. The location is great, very close to Hongik University station, with a convenience store about a five-minute walk away. I had a great experience and would definitely stay again.

The guesthouse is in a quiet part of Hongdae, with a subway station nearby and plenty of food and shopping options. There's no lift, but subway exit 3 has an escalator all the way up if you're coming from the airport on the all-stop AREX train. That also makes it a good option if you're going to Jeju through Gimpo airport. Our DMZ tour also met at exit 3. Shopping in Hongdae can mean climbing lots of stairs, since many shops are in multistory buildings without lifts or escalators. The host responded quickly when I booked, sent detailed check-in directions, and answered my questions. There are affordable, spacious family rooms for groups or families on a budget. The level 2 family room has two double beds and a washing machine. Cooking facilities are available in the room too. The dryer is in a shared area, and it's fairly noisy when running.

The staff and owner were friendly, and they let me store my bicycle in their storeroom. Hongdae is about a five-minute walk away. The room was fairly small but fine for one person, though the bed was too soft for me. Just make sure you’re heading to Seoul Mansion ‘Guesthouse’. I once cycled to a different Seoul Mansion about 5 km away.

I’ve stayed here before and would come back again. It’s comfortable and nice, even if it isn’t fancy, and the staff are fantastic. I keep recommending the place. I did leave early once to get home ahead of a typhoon.

For a one-night visit, the location near the heart of Hongdae is really convenient. The room is a decent size, though the bathroom is pretty small.
