Side Hanok Guesthouse

The manager was simply the best, and the place is a hidden gem in a lovely, peaceful area. The city buzz is only minutes away by public transport. This was easily my favorite stay in Seoul, and I'd recommend it to anyone visiting.

Our children had a great time staying in a Hanok, even though that kind of place can be inconvenient for some. The room was warm and everything was very quiet. We'd found this place through a friend's recommendation while looking for somewhere near Gyeongbokgung Palace for a long-awaited family outing. I especially liked the big, atmospheric tree in the courtyard. The young, handsome, and friendly manager's food tour of Seochon was a success too. The space left us with lovely memories, and the manager's kindness makes me look forward to another trip. Next time, I want to explore the parts of Seochon we missed.

The manager gave excellent service when I made the reservation, and both the stay and service were satisfying. I return whenever I'm in Seoul because it's a comfortable place to relax. Walking through the front door gives you that distinct feeling of wondering whether a place like this can really be in Seoul. Highly recommend it if you're after a cozy atmosphere and a quiet break.

The heating worked perfectly on a cold day, and I had a really relaxing stay with my family. The traditional Hanok is beautiful, and the modern kitchen and bathroom renovations made things comfortable for everyday use. The manager was very kind and gave us helpful guidance, so check-in and the visit were both pleasant. I like Seochon's quiet atmosphere more than Bukchon, and the Hanok nearby looked especially lovely in the snow. The Deluxe Room looked nice, but I'm glad we chose the Island Room, where you can climb the stone steps and look down. I'll try the Deluxe Room next time. Thanks to the manager for looking after us so well.
