Getting around from Hotel Bene was easy. It’s right by Exit 9 at Euljiro 3-ga station, where Metro Lines 2 and 3 meet, and Myeongdong is about a 15-minute walk. There are also convenience stores, places to eat, and Paris Baguette along the underground stretch between Euljiro 1-ga and Euljiro 3-ga. The room was roomy and clean, with daily cleaning and mattress changes. The heater and TV worked fine, and the staff were friendly and helpful. One day the cleaner forgot to restock the toilet paper and tissues, and it happened again the next day. I didn’t like the translucent glass doors on the bathroom and toilet, since you can see through them. A curtain would help, and the bathing room door doesn’t lock. Still, it was a clean, spacious place to stay.

My husband and I left after about 30 minutes and didn’t stay the night. The place was gross, with stains on the sheets and towels, and the welcome package included condoms. We could hear couples in other rooms making noises, if you know what I mean. Nothing like what we expected. We’re definitely not going back or recommending it.

The bathroom had spider webs all over the toilet, and water leaked out onto the room floor. The shower kept swinging from extremely hot to extremely cold. The room was small, the lights didn’t work, and it was noisy in the morning.

The room and service were pretty decent. It was a bit too expensive, but I only went in because it was getting close to midnight.
