I loved how peaceful it was, tucked just a little away from the city rush while still feeling central. Galleries, the contemporary art museum, old temples and palaces are nearby, and there are plenty of places to eat around there.

The owner is around every day and is genuinely helpful and friendly, which really makes the place. Breakfast supplies include eggs, espresso, milk, toast, granola, nuts, and other things, and the shared showers are good quality. The rooms are comfortable temperature-wise and so quiet. After a terrible stay elsewhere in the city, this was the best sleep I'd had in weeks. My girlfriend booked it, and it was absolutely worth it. Hanok Village is charming, with lots of little shops to browse. They seemed higher quality than many stores on the city's main shopping streets. If you're on the fence, spend the extra and book it.
Staying in a hanok in the middle of Jongno felt much more authentic than being in a boring hotel. The bathrooms are shared, but very clean and well equipped. There's a shared kitchen stocked with cereal, coffee, and Korean cookies. I'd definitely come back.
A lovely, authentic hamok house with heated floors, and a great host. It's in the cultural centre, with plenty of landmarks nearby and a metro line not too far off. The bathroom is shared and outside the house, so you have to step outdoors to get there. With all the good points, that wasn't too much of a problem.
A beautiful Hanok, close to the Palace and a hiking trail with a view over the city.
