I stayed at Stay Sai Accommodation in July 2025. The staff were a real highlight: one lady was especially kind, gave great service, and even shared a snack when I left. Her English and manners were much appreciated. The host was helpful, quick to respond, and accommodating too. Getting around was easy. Jongno 5-ga station on Line 1 is a three-minute walk away, with underground access to exits 12-14. The escalator at Exit 12 shuts after 11 PM. There are also subway facilities underground. The neighborhood was quiet at night with little traffic, though the hotel sign is small. There are food and drink options, pharmacies, and a Korea Post nearby. Most traditional restaurants close by 10 PM, but you can still find some late-night food. The shared kitchen has a fridge, toaster, microwave, electric hob, and a Samsung filtered water dispenser with hot, warm, and cold water. There’s a washer and dryer, with express mode recommended, as well as a steamer iron. During rainy seasons, small towels are left at the entrance. Seating is limited, so clear up when you’re done. My room near the entrance was generally quiet, but the walls are thin and corridor noise carries. Hot water was inconsistent, which could be a problem in winter. The room is compact, so luggage needs to be stored efficiently under the bed or in its designated area. The bed was comfortable and the curtains helped me sleep well. Check-in and check-out were easy to do myself, and luggage storage was convenient. There’s no common bathroom on L1. I couldn’t see the rooftop because of an injury, but it seems like it could be a nice spring hangout. The location, practical amenities, and friendly staff make this good value, despite a few room issues.

The room was small, so we could barely open one suitcase at a time. Its windows connected to the bathroom, and the neighborhood wasn’t quiet. The toilet clogged in the morning while cleaners were working in other rooms. There’s even a sign on the bathroom door about clogging, and the cleaners helped us clear it. We had trouble getting the air-conditioning remote. It wasn’t provided right away, contacting the management was difficult, and they only answered by email. We received the remote after our first night. Our room for three was on the third floor, where the stairs were especially steep and narrow, with no handrails. Carrying our luggage up and down was very difficult.

The room was clean and cozy, just right for a few nights in Seoul. Check-in and check-out were simple, and there are lots of chicken and beer hofs nearby.

It was very clean and right near where I needed to be. I’d definitely come back next time I’m in Korea.
