The Place Seoul

Set in beautiful Bukchon Village, this hanok guesthouse is clean and well organized despite being unmanned. You sleep on the floor without a bed, and the room could feel a little small if you're tall. Breakfast was okay, though I wish they served honey as well as jam. There was also a strange smell in the room.

We booked the whole traditional Korean house for our family of four, which was a unique setup, like having a private room that was the entire house. It has two double rooms, one with a toilet, plus an outdoor toilet. We loved the courtyard and large common room, and the kitchen was fully equipped with a microwave, water heater, tableware, and more. The owner speaks English and was incredibly kind. He checked in often to see if we had any problems and reminded us about the weather. The location was convenient, and self check-in was easy to use. We stayed three nights and had a fantastic time. Even my mother, who's over 60, loved it!

This was my second visit, and it was just as good as the first. It does get a bit cold, though, and there’s a draft. You should sleep with your head turned away from the window.

A lovely place 😊 Quiet, clean, and well kept, like a little peaceful oasis in the middle of the city. Highly recommended!
