The Stay Classic Hotel Myeongdong

Having a washer in each room was the main reason I booked. The dryers are downstairs on B1. The staff were super helpful, and the housekeeper did a great job. It’s centrally located and close to everything I needed. I’d book here again. Thank you!

Our room was just right, with a lounge area, table, couch, balcony, a large fridge and freezer, a washing machine, and even a steaming cabinet for clothes. We didn’t find the bathroom too small, despite what some reviews said. The location is very convenient, with market views, historic attractions nearby, and the subway just steps away. Some photos seem to remove the neighboring buildings to make the hotel look more pastoral, which nearly made us think it was far from the center. The staff were polite and friendly, and arranged a late checkout when the weather was awful on our last day. There’s roof access too. We had a great first trip to Korea and would recommend this hotel to other travelers.

My room had a balcony, a double bed, and a sofa, so it felt roomy for Seoul, especially with a separate living area. The cleaning was perfect, and they called a cab for me at checkout. One downside is that you can’t cross directly to namdaemun, you have to go down into the subway station and come up on the other side. They don’t hold suitcases either, and the lockers cost $10 for 4 hours.

The bed was very, very hard, though the room itself was clean and spacious. The staff were great, and the location worked well for walking to the main sights, with Namdaemun Market across the street.
