Winwin Guesthouse

Mr Kim made our stay comfortable and easy. He was friendly, helpful, and easy to reach whenever we had a question or request. The guesthouse is about a 3 mins walk from Myeongdong Station and 5-7 mins from Myeongdong Street. We also visited Mr Kim's restaurant, and it didn't disappoint. Wonderful hospitality and a convenient location. I'd happily stay here again on our next trip to Korea. Highly recommend, 10/10.

Winwin Guesthouse is convenient for Myeondong, right beside Pacific Hotel and close to subway station exit 3 or 1. There are also Halal and Vegan restaurants up the hill. That's the main draw for me, since the price feels high for a guesthouse with so few services. I booked based on the positive Agoda and Google reviews about cleanliness and the friendly owner, but I found spiderwebs in a ceiling corner. Guests have to handle towel washing and room upkeep themselves. Towels are only provided for the first day, dust builds up, and there's a vacuum outside the room for guests to use. You also have to take out your own trash. Not every room has a fridge, so you need to request one and carry it in from outside your room. Toiletries are on shelves outside, and the small pantry by the main door has a water dispenser plus coffee and tea supplies. The shared washer and dryer in the basement are also used by the owner for cleaning, which is inconvenient, and there are set times for using the washer and microwave. The walls are very thin. You can hear conversations, footsteps, doors, people dragging luggage and using the stairs, and even babies crying next door. Light sleepers may not find it suitable. The price seems to be for the location more than the amenities or service. For a little more, you could get a hotel with housekeeping and concierge service.

The rooms and linens were spotless. The location was great, just a 2 mins walk from the local station.

Mr. Kim was friendly and kind, showed us how to use the facilities, and was reachable on WhatsApp if we needed help. The place is near Myeongdong shopping center, Namsan Cable Tower, and Myeongdong station. It was a great stay, and I'd especially recommend it to Indonesians because the toilet has a bidet.
