Y's House - Hostel

The host quickly replaced the shower filter when ours was blocked, though the toilet in our room wasn't very clean. With three floors and no lift, large or heavy luggage is a struggle. Our room was in the half-basement, and it got humid, stuffy, and smelly unless we kept the window open all the time. We left the blinds halfway down since people on the street could see in. The dorms have their own shower and toilet, and there's a washer, dryer, and shared kitchen, though the kitchen wasn't very clean. You can buy inexpensive drinks and snacks in the lobby. It's secure and well located, not too far from popular areas, and a great place to stay with friends.

Great place to stay with friends, secure, good location not too far from popular areas and the dorms have their own separate shower and toilet, there's a shared kitchen (not that clean), washer, dryer and there are some inexpensive drinks/snacks you can purchase in the lobby. The toilet in our room wasn't the cleanest and the shower was blocked but host came to change the shower filter straight away. There's 3 floors with no lift so you will struggle if you have large/heavy luggage or if you get the half basement room you will need to leave the window open at all hours otherwise the room gets humid/stuffy and smelly, just leave the blinds down halfway as people can see into the room from the street.

The hostel was spotless, and my four-woman room stayed really quiet. It’s handy for both Hongdae Fashion Street and the metro, too. The staff were lovely. I’d book a bed here again if I return to Seoul.

There are lots of shops and places to eat nearby, and the metro is about a 10-minute walk away. The room was clean and a decent size, and the staff were nice. The restroom did have an unpleasant smell, though.
