My room wasn't clean, and the staff were very rude. Check-in is at 7 pm and checkout is at 12.

The biggest problem was how the booking was handled. I booked through Booking and got several confirmation messages, including one from the hotel. That same morning, I went in person to leave my luggage. They accepted it and charged me 30,000 won. When I returned at 10 PM, they said my reservation had been canceled and the room given to someone else because I supposedly hadn't confirmed. I received no message, call, or email that day, even though I'd been there in person that morning. I've stayed in hundreds of hotels all over the world, and this was by far my worst experience. The service was terrible, and the staff were incompetent, rude, and almost aggressive. The place was disgusting and dirty, and the staff were aggressive again. Koreans and foreigners, please listen: don't go there. I don't recommend it. They are scammers.

I'm writing this even though the staff can probably work out who I am from the reviews. I debated posting because after the last train had gone, during our argument, they gave me cash for transportation. I got a full refund, too. But the whole thing was such a hassle. My companion and I each booked a room for two nights around Wonder Rivet, Friday and Saturday, arriving at 11 AM after the Friday event. The first floor had lots of people wearing event wristbands. We were relieved we'd booked in advance, until we were told we were overbooked because of an error on Agoda. My companions had valid reservations but were asked to wait until noon because there were no rooms. Other people were told the same thing, whether or not they had booked: wait until noon, take a refund, or go somewhere else. We were staying more than one night and felt anxious. They couldn't promise the same thing wouldn't happen the next day if it got crowded. We were told our room was completely unavailable, but they wouldn't give us a definite answer, so our group waited until around midnight. By then the last train had left. Agoda tried to mediate but couldn't resolve it that late. We nearly ended up sharing a room with a group of mixed genders. Luckily, we found one remaining room at a nearby place within walking distance, so we didn't have to sleep outside. After contacting Agoda customer service, we unpacked, washed up, and got ready for bed at the new place at 2 AM. I'd planned to run first because I wanted to see them from the event fence on Saturday, but after arguing and walking to the new accommodation in the cold wind, I was exhausted by dawn and gave up. I won't consider staying near Yeonsinnae Station for future KINTEX events. My group said the rooms were quite new and clean, and maybe it wouldn't be so bad if you weren't unlucky enough to hit a crowd like we did. I knew weekends are popular and accommodation can be expensive and fully booked, so I had booked in advance for 50,000 won on Friday and Saturday, then 75,000 won on Saturday and Sunday. The refund was for the full amount. The alternative we had to book around noon on Friday due to Tao cost 90,000 won and didn't even have a heater. When I looked for a place for Saturday and Sunday, it had been 60,000 won earlier, but by the time I tried to book in a hurry it was 80,000 won. Even after the 10,000 won transportation money, please don't feel bad about this review. My plans were disrupted, and I ended up spending 40,000 won more than my original 130,000 won accommodation bill.

On the day I was due to arrive, they canceled my booking because they had overbooked. I got no compensation at all. They just told me to find somewhere else to stay. I'm posting this so other people don't end up in the same situation.

The room next door had a door that blocked ours, and getting out might be difficult if you're not strong. The staff were rude, the bathroom was covered in mold, and the Wi-Fi wouldn't connect to the internet. We were given just one towel for two people. Check-in was only allowed after 10:00 PM, and when we checked out at noon, we weren't allowed to sit in the hotel and had to leave right away.
