Namhae Sportspark Hotel

I booked this before going hiking at Boriam. The facilities are old, but everything worked fine, and the staff were friendly. At check-in, I chose either a Korean or Western breakfast.

We had to argue and keep pressing before they finally gave us a room where we could spend the night. The service was awful, and they didn’t seem to care whether guests were comfortable. I wouldn’t recommend staying here. The first room had such a strong chemical smell that our eyes watered. When we asked to change rooms, they put us in a cold room with big cracks in the windows and a strong draft. Reception said there were no other rooms and offered the smelly room again, but we checked and the smell was still overwhelming. There wasn’t even hand soap, let alone shampoo or shower gel. It felt like they didn’t provide even a basic level of comfort.

The staff were so kind, and the coffee was tasty. Breakfast was decent too. The location is a little out at the edge, which was a shame. From our room, we had to stand up to see the sea. The concrete blocks on our balcony were so high that we couldn’t see the water while sitting ㅜㅜ..

I only stayed because there was an EV charger, but it was far away, and as a fast charger it didn’t fully charge the car. The room smelled of cigarettes on the first day, and despite being for four people, it only had two cups. I heard this is mostly where athletes stay. For this price, I’d book somewhere else, especially if traveling with family. I don’t recommend it.
