JW Marriott Hotel Kuwait City

The staff were courteous, professional, and helpful, and the room and amenities were luxurious. I had a fantastic week at the hotel and look forward to staying again whenever I’m in KW city. Kudos to the team.

The room, service, and atmosphere were all perfect, and I’d highly recommend JW Marriott Kuwait City to anyone wanting elegance alongside genuine, personal hospitality. A special thank you to Jenia, Hospitality Manager, for her creativity and passion, and for leading her team with such heart. I also really appreciate Wassan, Front Desk Manager, for her kindness, professionalism, and excellent care throughout the stay. From the moment we arrived, the team greeted us with real warmth and attention to detail. The origami arrangement they made, inspired by my book Elements of Leadership, was unforgettable and felt like such a thoughtful expression of hospitality.

The room rate felt far too high for the experience, and I definitely wouldn’t return or recommend it to a friend. The room was small, with the toilet door right beside the bed. Breakfast didn’t meet the standard I’d expect from a five-star hotel, and the staff seemed new and inexperienced.

Terrace Grill Restaurant has reopened inside the hotel after being closed for nearly five years. It used to be considered one of Kuwait’s best steak restaurants, so we came with high expectations. The staff were extremely friendly and even surprised us with drinks and cake when they learned it was my husband’s birthday. The meal was pleasant, but the food wasn’t outstanding. I would have preferred less dressing and mayonnaise on the salad. The jumbo prawns were a little overcooked and hard to chew; the steak was decent, the salmon and rice were good, and the portobello and asparagus were average. The menu could use more variety, and the prices seemed high, especially during a soft opening. The tea was a particular surprise at 8 K.D for a tiny pot, and we hadn’t even been given a drinks menu. Great service, but there’s room to improve the food and pricing.
