Our little cottage was just 50 feet from the sea, and it felt like a dream. The peace and quiet are hard to imagine, and both the management and staff gave impeccable service. If waves lapping at the shore and wind moving through the palm fronds bother you, this small piece of Heaven probably isn’t for you.

Most people come to Little Cayman to dive, and the diving really is the main draw. Paradise Villas is a good, slightly less expensive option than the island’s all inclusive dive resorts, though it still isn’t cheap. I brought most of my own food because I knew the only grocery and hardware store, a few minutes’ walk along the main road, would give me sticker shock. The kitchenette made that easy, and I didn’t feel like eating at any of the island’s three restaurants. The staff met me at the airport next door and carried my luggage over while I walked to the resort. My villa was comfortable, around the level of a three star room or a Comfort Inn or Days Inn, rather than a five star stay. The back door and deck look out over the ocean, which was nice, though the beach is only partly sandy and gets rocky near the water. After diving I sometimes relaxed there and saw little geckos and tiny hermit crabs. I never found cockroaches or mosquitoes inside the villa.

A peaceful little spot, with a lovely ocean view from the back porch. The rooms are cozy and a comfortable size, and there’s a small kitchen if you want to cook.

The ocean views from the villas were amazing, and having bikes available made it easy to get around. Inside, everything was in good shape and nicely cleaned, with comfortable beds and nice showers. We absolutely loved our stay and will be back next time we’re on Little Cayman.

Mark met us at the airport and helped us get our bearings on the island. The grounds were tidy, and the staff were friendly and helpful throughout our five nights in May 2023. Our room was comfortable, and the kitchen had what we needed for drinks and a few simple meals. The house bikes worked well for getting around, and the pool was a relaxing place to have a beer after a long day in the ocean. The restaurant attached to the hotel had great service. If you like Indian food, you’re in for a treat, and there are plenty of other good choices too. We had a lovely stay and would recommend it to anyone wanting a comfortable, relaxed, friendly base while exploring Little Cayman.
