Altaca Residence

I stayed at Altaca from Fall 2009 to Spring 2010 and enjoyed it. The apartment was quiet and clean, and the staff were courteous and polite. My unit was on the top floor, so it had no balcony. That wasn’t much of an issue, though the washer didn’t also dry clothes, so I had to hang them indoors. The bathroom had heated floors and good water pressure. The A/C in the main room cooled the whole apartment as long as I left the bedroom door open. For groceries, there was a tiny convenience store on the corner, a bigger grocery store across the street, and a much larger vegetable market in a multi-level mall a few blocks away. I went there weekly for fresh fruit. I can’t remember the business names, but when I was in Atyrau there was a Canadian-owned restaurant near Altaca serving mostly Western breakfasts, and T.G.I. Friday did delivery too. Hopefully that’s still the case.

The place was neat and very clean. The staff were friendly and spoke English well.

The accommodation was excellent, and the place felt friendly and modern.

Really friendly people and a clean place, the best in Atyrau.
