Right by the city center, which makes the location great. This is a simple, no-frills hostel in Shymkent, and it's very quiet. There aren't many tourists around, which may suit you or may not. The staff don't speak English, but they make a real effort to communicate using translators.

The owners were helpful and really nice, even though they didn't understand English; they always tried to assist me. I found the beds comfortable, and there are lockers and a balcony. It's also near the center of Shymkent. One of the nicest hostels in the city, I think, and I had a very nice stay.

This was the worst stay I've had anywhere in the world.

The family running the place were friendly and always available, and I felt very comfortable there. The kitchen is fully equipped, everything is clean, and the beds are comfortable. There was hot water with good pressure too. A perfect place to stay.

Great value for the money, and the hostel is clean and excellent. It's centrally located, with everything within walking distance.
