Little Hostel

The host is the heart of this place. She takes care of everything, breakfast and lunch, transfer bookings, food recommendations, luggage storage, literally everything. She was so kind and generous. We stayed two nights before and after our gibbon experience, and it was amazing. The rooms aren't anything fancy, but have all you need, including comfy beds and AC. I can't recommend it enough.

It's an easy, convenient hostel with all the necessities, though nothing luxurious, and fantastic value. The best part by far is Amor, who runs the place but surprisingly doesn't own it. She's the most hospitable, kind, and useful hostel staff member I've met in a while. She helps with practical things and is incredibly easy to talk to.

There are just two dorms with four beds each, so the place stays nice and quiet. The dorms, shared space, bathrooms, and showers are all very clean. They've thought of a lot, from a light and socket at each bed to plenty of information about onward travel. We were heading from Laos across the Thai border the next day, and they arranged the whole crossing for us at a really good price. I'd definitely recommend doing it. The breakfast was delicious and HUGE. This hostel is fantastic, just a short walk from the pier and right in the town centre. I wish there were places like it all over SE Asia.

The staff were INCREDIBLE, and the rooms and bathrooms were really clean. There are hot showers, comfy beds, good AC, and headlamps to rent. They also have SIM cards. The food was lovely: we had breakfast and a packed lunch for the onward journey. They helped us book the train to Luang Prabang over WhatsApp before we'd even arrived, then saw us off on the day. Such a great place before and after the gibbon experience. They truly have everything you could need. Highly, highly recommend, and thank you so much for everything 🥰😊
