The river views are spot on, and the hammocks are a lovely way to relax and enjoy the atmosphere during the day. My room was right next to the restaurant, though, and the music played loudly until around 10-11pm. Earplugs didn’t block it out, and I imagine nearby rooms hear it too, so this may not suit early sleepers or anyone who values quiet. A fan room costs 200k, while air conditioning is 300k. I chose the fan, which was enough for the temperature. The rooms are basic and a bit run down, with a firm bed and mosquito net. The bathroom could use attention, as there seemed to be black mould above the shower. It’s a good value option for the views and social atmosphere if you’re okay with nighttime noise and simple accommodation.

The check-in staff were so friendly and cheerful. We had a good stay, with clean rooms and bathrooms, and the porch hammocks were a lovely touch. It’s a basic bungalow, though most places on the island seem similar. I’d happily come back and recommend it to others.

We went back every day of our week in town because the food was so good. The portions are huge, it all tastes homemade, and the kebab is amazing. The soup is packed with flavor and comes in a big serving. The staff are really friendly too.

We ducked in when a sudden rain started and decided to order. The Lao chicken curry and Lapp chicken were delicious, and the staff were very friendly.
