Hotel Kiridara Luang Prabang

The rooms have a lovely teak wood feel that seems very “Luang Prabang,” and the staff are genuinely kind. Kiridara is tucked up on a hill, so it’s really peaceful. My favorite was the infinity pool overlooking Mount Phousi, especially at sunset, such a good place to chill. If you’re after luxury without a stiff or formal feel, I really loved staying here.

At Kiridara, the staff took such care with every detail, from the warm welcome to the beautifully designed room. They went out of their way to make our trip feel special. Unforgettable stay, and I can’t wait to come back!

The hotel looks out over Luang Prabang and the surrounding hills, a naturally scenic setting. From the driver meeting us at the train station through check-in, the staff were polite and friendly. We did have a room issue, but it was fixed quickly and to our satisfaction, which says a lot about their customer service. Breakfast had a very good selection of freshly cooked food, and the pool overlooking the area is probably one of the best we’ve seen in Luang Prabang. It’s about a half-hour walk to the Old Quarter, though the hotel’s on-call shuttle runs until 9:15 pm. I’d highly recommend Kiridara.

The courtesy van was a handy extra. A quick WhatsApp message was enough to get a ride into town or a pickup. Kiridara Luang Prabang is peaceful, with friendly, helpful staff and a calm atmosphere. Our spacious, comfortable room had a fantastic view and a huge bathtub, perfect after a day exploring. Breakfast was simple but satisfying, with fresh fruit, pastries and local dishes each morning, plus the option to order from the menu. The TV signal was a little pixelated, which I can understand given the location, and it didn’t take away from the stay. The downside was the mosquitoes: there were a few in the room and we had to kill them, so take precautions. Overall it was a great stay, and I’d highly recommend the hotel.
