The owner also supports a local association down the road, Pasom Pasam. Our kids enjoyed making art cards there, which was a great experience. The staff were nice, and breakfast was good, though we also liked trying the countless nearby coffees. We were given an extra mattress for our third child, as arranged before booking, and the family room was great. The place is right in Luang Prabang city Center and walking distance to everywhere, but away from the busy streets, which is perfect. I'd recommend it to any kind of traveller, whether family, couple, or solo.

The location made it easy to explore the old district on foot, right near the river and close to most places. Coming back to the hotel was lovely: the small grounds are carefully landscaped and decorated, and everything was spotless. Our room was spacious, airy, modern, comfortable, and kept impeccably clean. The reception team were always kind and helpful, and the manager was around to answer questions and offer solid ideas for things to see, do, and eat. I’m not sure why Google calls it a 2-star hotel. The welcome, amenities, rooms, grounds, and relaxed, fun atmosphere felt more like a stylish boutique four-star stay. If the listing gives you pause, I wouldn’t hesitate.

We stayed at Pha Nya Residence on two separate trips to Luang Prabang in Nov 2025 and tried three room categories. The rooms were all comfortable, very clean, and well equipped. What you see in the photos is what you get, which isn't always the case with hotel listings. Staff and reception were consistently attentive, friendly, and ready to help, and the manager had loads of useful local tips. Google Maps lists it as 2-star, but we've stayed in plenty of 4-star places with less to offer in service, quality, and overall experience. We'd gladly come back anytime. Highly recommended.

I didn't want to leave this charming little boutique hotel. The breakfast was fantastic, and the management and staff really went out of their way for us. It's thoughtfully designed, with lovely details throughout. The location is ideal too, on a quiet street right in the middle of the old city. I'll definitely be back.
