The location worked really well for us. It’s about a five-minute walk from the night market, just far enough away that you don’t hear the noise. The monk ceremony and viewpoint are close by too. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Flora is a real sweetheart. She got up early twice to make breakfast for us. Thank you for helping us! We stayed here twice on the way to nong khiauw. The first time, they upgraded us for free. Breakfast was really good. The room with a bathroom was very nice, and the room for two without one was good. The shared bathroom downstairs wasn’t very clean and smelled a little. I didn’t get the feeling it was cleaned every day, though it was alright. The downstairs rooms without bathrooms can be a bit loud because the old wooden floors creak. Bring earplugs if you have trouble sleeping. Our room on the first floor was great.

I stayed here, and what I wrote is exactly what I experienced. The staff were rude, there were bugs in the room, they pretended to help just to take our money, and they got annoyed and told us to check out before checkout time. Absolutely not recommended. Never stay here! All the reviews are fake. I’ve seen the replies full of excuses, often saying guests didn’t actually stay there. Don’t post that under my review.

We had a wonderful stay at Manichan. The owner handled all my questions and requests, even making breakfast before the regular breakfast time. When we struggled to find a rental bike because demand was high, they helped me look at different places. The guesthouse has a cute look, and the service is excellent. Our room smelled good, and it was super quiet at night. Everything is within walking distance: the Mekong river, Morning Market, Night Market, and the street with Wat XiengThong, Wat May, Royal Palace and Phousi Hill. Thank you so much, Manichan!

Tea was available 24/7, a nice extra, and breakfast was quite good. The rooms were comfortable, and being close to the morning market while still in a quiet spot was great. For the price, the bathroom could be better, especially since I had to share it. I don’t know whether this guest house has private bathrooms.

The night market and day market were both easy to reach on foot, with restaurants nearby too. We had a lovely two-night stay at this quiet guesthouse, and the friendly staff made it feel special. Joseph, a Filipino who speaks English, welcomed us at reception and shared a guide to places to eat and explore. Our room was spotless and well kept, and breakfast was a tasty start each morning. It was easy to relax here.
