Breakfast was reasonable and the room was clean, but having no windows felt unpleasant. There weren't enough water bottles in the room, and when I asked, the response wasn't pleasant. I felt like just another guest and that no one tried to make the stay better. The service needs work. I was also disappointed by the central, fairly noisy location and the lack of a comfortable place to sit outside the room.

The location was great and the price was good, and the staff were so welcoming. I stayed at Soutikone for 4 nights, and everything was really amazing. My room was very clean too. I'd definitely recommend it, and you can even choose your breakfast meal.

The bike rental was an easy way to explore on my own, and the bike was new, affordable, and ready quickly. I also found the location handy, the AC worked well, and the woman running the place was kind and spoke enough English to help with anything I needed. At $7 a night, I wasn't expecting much, but the building was clean and cared for, even if it's clearly older. There were just a few cobwebs in the bathroom, the shower needed a better scrub, and a rainy day brought some small leaks. It's a simple place with few extras beyond the room. I saw other guests having a Western breakfast, though I ate from the street stalls. For that price, it was a great deal and I'd consider staying again.

The receptionist was so warm and helpful, even carrying our bags to the taxi and waving goodbye as we left. Breakfast arrived within minutes of ordering and was lovely. Our room felt spacious and clean, with a balcony, a nice bathroom, and wood lining that gave it a cabin feel. There was plenty to do nearby on foot, and the stay was still inexpensive. I'd happily come back and recommend it.
