Leafsta Hostel

The beds are great, the location is good, and there's a big selection of beer. But the staff weren't very friendly or helpful, and only one spoke some English. The bathrooms smell bad, and the WiFi barely works on the third floor. For that price, other places include breakfast, so this wasn't worth it.

The beds were roomy and comfortable, with good privacy dividers, but the third-floor WiFi didn't reach our room. It also opened straight onto the bathroom with no door, so the smell drifted in. On our first night, a man in our dorm vomited on the floor. Staff moved him out briefly but took about 20 minutes to clean it. The following night, staff were drinking with him. There were local teens and college teachers in the common area when we arrived Friday; that was fine, but the music was so loud we could hear it upstairs, and it continued the next night. The entrance was hard to find, maybe hidden behind a giant Pepsi metal box. Staff were uncommunicative and unhelpful, often ignoring us at the desk or finishing on their phones before responding. I wouldn't recommend this hostel.

We booked a double room for two through an Agoda offer, but when we arrived they said the online price was wrong and asked for more money. They also had no double room available and wanted to charge extra to put us in a dorm. We refused, and after a long discussion they gave us two dorm beds. The receptionist was very unpleasant. The room was dirty and the bathroom disgusting, though the bed itself was fairly comfortable. I wouldn't recommend staying here.

The location is good, and the beds are spacious and feel secure. The staff are nice and friendly, and the food is okay. It's pretty empty, though, if you're hoping for a social atmosphere.
