There were several problems in the rooms: peeling paint that looked like it came from a ceiling leak, stains on the walls, and a bathroom that smelled of sulfur or pee. We booked two rooms, and one had a broken shower door while the other had no door at all. The TV worked, but had no channels. The pool seemed to have too much chlorine or something. The kids said it tasted like poison, and their bodies burned after they got out. Breakfast was good at first, but later it was just bread and eggs. Even so, eggs, toast, fruit, and coffee are an okay breakfast. There was plenty of hot water, a river view, and seafood vendors across the street. For this price, you can find a better place on the same street.

The riverside room had a nice view, but the restaurants and bars in front of the hotel made it impossible to sleep before 1 a.m. The air conditioner was the loudest I've ever had, so sleeping with it on wasn't an option. There was broken wood on the balcony, the shower cabin was broken, and some room lights didn't work. Staff seemed uninterested, and the breakfast buffet was empty at 9 a.m. The hotel looked good at first, but that's about it. It seems to have given up. Absolutely no recommendation.

The large room felt neglected, and the bed was uncomfortable. There was a lovely small balcony overlooking the busy road and the Mekong river. In the bathroom, the toilet leaked and the towel rails were broken. If you're used to international hotel standards, you should probably choose somewhere more modern.

The room is spacious, the staff are friendly, there's hot water for shaving, and the river view is lovely. Still, the place feels like a boxer whose trainer might be ready to throw in the towel. Keep your expectations in check.

A great old boutique style hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. It's very close to the Mekong River, with views across to Thailand 🇹🇭. The swimming pool was good, and there are several street restaurants and bars across the road.
