Villa Sisavad Guesthouse

It's quite run-down, like it may once have been charming. The pool was okay, but the rooms were below standard. The two water bottles in the fridge weren't sealed, and the room wasn't cleaned regularly.

Our bed sheets had blood stains on them. When we discreetly asked for clean ones, staff called it an “imposition” and said there were no spares or workers at the hotel after 6. We saw guests being checked in by staff after 8, so that was plainly untrue. We then learned the owner was there during the conversation and was actively refusing to change the dirty sheets. The owner's friend spoke to us incredibly disrespectfully and again said our request was an “imposition.” In the end, they removed the stained sheets and left us with no sheets at all. As paying guests, we had simply asked politely for clean bedding. This was a very inhospitable hotel, with rude and dismissive staff. I wouldn't recommend it.

It's a good value for the money. The pool was nice and everything was clean. The location isn't the very best, but it's only a short walk to anything you'd want to visit.

A really nice place, with free WiFi and an amazing swimming pool. For this budget, I don't think you can find another hotel in central Vientiane. Highly recommend.
