Golden Tulip Serenada

We found the atmosphere quiet and calm, and the lounge had refreshing flavored water for guests. We arrived after our original hotel cancelled our reservation without telling us, so we booked here around 5 a.m. after landing. The receptionist on duty was understanding and incredibly helpful. He gave us a discount and opened two separate rooms into each other so our family could stay together. If I visit Beirut again, I'll definitely stay here.

The location worked well for us: American University and Bliss Street are nearby, and Down Town shopping, Rouche, and Zaytoona Bay were a short drive away. Valet parking was handy, and check-in was smooth. We could sleep in a bit, have breakfast at the hotel, and still check out on time. The room was spotless and had all the amenities we needed. The beds and pillows were comfortable, and we liked the Italian Renaissance-inspired decor. Breakfast had a good mix of Lebanese and continental options. They also brought complimentary Lebanese sweets to our room when we arrived, a lovely welcome. Most of all, the staff made my family feel at ease and special. Everyone was friendly and focused on guests. Sabah, our room attendant, was especially helpful and welcoming. Her sincere greetings and assistance made us feel like family.

Even on a very busy street, our room stayed surprisingly quiet. We later noticed the double-layered windows, which block the outside noise well. Electricity and internet also worked perfectly the whole time. The hotel made the stay in Beirut easy. Its location was great for exploring, and our room was beautifully decorated, clean, and cozy. Staff were kind and attentive, and replies on WhatsApp came impressively fast. They even helped with things beyond their responsibilities, which we really appreciated. Breakfast was enjoyable, with a decent selection of Lebanese dishes, cheeses, fresh bread, and other choices. I honestly couldn't point to any problems.

The Lebanese breakfast was fresh each morning, with a decent range and a nice local touch. My room was quiet and peaceful, so I rested well. The housekeeping team on the second floor deserves a special mention for keeping it in such good shape. The room itself was comfortable and well maintained, and the price was excellent for what was offered. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for comfort and value in Beirut.
