Lancaster Plaza Beirut

My room was always clean and stocked with everything I needed, and the customer service was impressive. Special shout-out to Ibrahim from room service, a very kind young man who made my stay easy. Reception, the rooftop, the staff, all of it checked the boxes. I’ll definitely be back!

This was my sixth stay at Lancaster Plaza Hotel, and the experience was excellent again. The team is consistently respectful and attentive, and whenever you raise an issue, it gets handled quickly and smoothly. I’m grateful for the care and reliability. Special thanks to Adam at reception, who is extremely kind, helpful, and professional. I’ll keep choosing this hotel.

The first three days at Lancaster Plaza were smooth and simply perfect, from finding the hotel to settling in and enjoying the daily comfort. When we arrived in Beirut, they arranged our transport quickly and without complications. Our room also had a thoughtful selection of delicious sweets waiting for us, which made us feel valued. Later, a small issue came up, but Mr. Jameel, Aya, Haya, and Jeenah took responsibility and followed up several times to make sure we were satisfied. Their care turned the moment into a reassuring one, and it didn’t affect our stay. The team’s professionalism and warm hospitality made us feel looked after. I highly recommend Lancaster Plaza for work or leisure, and we’ll definitely return.

I’m staying at Lancaster Plaza Beirut in Room 720, a corner room on the seventh floor, and my scheduled checkout is on the 1st. I’m seriously considering leaving early because the stay hasn’t met basic expectations for comfort, service, sound insulation, hygiene, or safety. The room is next to Room 718, and noise carries straight into the sleeping area. Door slamming, conversations outside the neighboring room, and corridor sounds kept waking me. I only managed about three hours of sleep. The room’s also in poor shape for a five-star hotel, maybe three-star at best. The flooring is heavily scratched and worn, unpleasant to look at and walk on, and the door and fittings show neglect. The colors, finishes, and interior feel outdated and poorly maintained. The photos reflect the condition accurately. Housekeeping staff were polite, but the cleaning needs work. Tables weren’t properly wiped, and the bathroom fittings are worn. The electric kettle was visibly dirty and poorly maintained, which raised hygiene concerns. There were no metal teaspoons for hot drinks, just plastic stirrers meant for cold beverages. When I raised it, I was told to use one for hot drinks, which seems unsafe and unhealthy for high-temperature liquids. I also had Do Not Disturb switched on through the in-room system and put the sign clearly on the door, as shown in the attached photos. Even so, someone knocked more than once. That defeats the purpose of the option, especially at a hotel claiming five-star standards. One front desk staff member was cold and showed little hospitality, not even a basic smile, while handling phone calls during an interaction with a guest. Reception should show professionalism and care, but that wasn’t my experience. I couldn’t reach Guest Relations, reception seemed understaffed in the afternoon and evening, and it was surprisingly hard to get a Duty Manager. I saw little concern or follow-up, unlike the immediate response and clear communication I’d expect at a comparable hotel. I’m sharing this to inform future guests and point out genuine problems that have affected my stay enough to make me consider checking out early. I’m not looking for confrontation.
