Portemilio Hotel & Resort

The way Portemilio treated the peaceful, friendly cats was cruel and unacceptable. They were vaccinated, gentle, and loved by guests and locals, but no one knows where they were taken or what happened to them. Shame on you, Portemilio. This shows a complete lack of compassion and responsibility. Boycott the hotel and its management.

The management misled people by saying the cats had been adopted, then abandoned cats who had sought refuge on the property. They weren’t prepared to live on the streets. The least the hotel could have done was find them somewhere safe before removing them. Unethical management.

Valentine’s dinner at the khuan bar was horrible. We had booked a week ahead but still waited 40 minutes before they found us a table. No food was served, and when we started eating the edamame, we found it had already been used and was empty. Disgusting and unprofessional!

My husband and I have been staying at Portemilio Resort for 25 years. We’ve traveled all over the world, but this place has something extra special. Every time we leave, it feels like we’re leaving family behind, and we look forward to seeing everyone again on our next vacation. The resort is right on the beach and has an Olympic-size saltwater pool, two children’s pools, over 100 kinds of vegetation, sports, great food, and plenty of parking. What makes Portemilio special, though, is the Lebanese hospitality. It’s a deep cultural tradition of welcoming guests with warmth, respect, generous food and drinks, and care for their comfort and dignity, treating them like family and seeing guests as a blessing. The tradition is ancient, rooted in the region’s history as a trading center, and hosts still consider it an honor and duty. The owners and staff at Portemilio keep that tradition going. My husband and I would give it seven stars.
