Royal Tulip Achrafieh

We chose Royal Tulip Achrafieh for our family after a nearby hospital recommended it and spoke well of its service. We booked 3 rooms, but the stay fell far short of five-star standards. As soon as we entered, the room smelled strongly of cigarettes, even though we had a child with us. Reception later told us we'd been put on a smoking floor without being told in advance. The bathroom was dirty, the towels and sheets were old, and the rooms seemed poorly maintained. We were shown 4 alternatives, but they had similar problems. After several discussions we finally got a renovated room, though there was no hot water at first, the water turned yellow, and service requests were delayed. Staff kept saying, “this is what we have.” The worst exchange was when reception refused to give us extra towels and asked, “What are you going to do with them?” That attitude was unprofessional and unacceptable toward guests. Honestly, this was one of the worst hotel experiences we've had at a place claiming to be five stars.

The location and room were good, but the price didn't feel justified, especially for a “Royal Tulip.” Reception promised three times to prepare a receipt for my room payment and never followed through. I even wrote down all my information for them, but still didn't get the receipt I asked for. The reception staff left such a bad impression that I won't use them again. Not acceptable.

November 6th 2025, Room 701. Fadi is the only desk employee who smiles every time and treats guests with respect. I've stayed at all the best hotels in Lebanon, and to me he's the best hotel employee in the country. The others here don't have the same happy, friendly manner. His service is why I'll come back.

At 130$ for one night, I expected more. The room wasn't very luxurious, there was no view, and breakfast wasn't included. I've had better rooms at 4stars hotels, with more space and breakfast for a lower price. I wouldn't recommend this place.
