I lost $55 during my stay, but an employee found it and left it at reception. The staff then contacted the guests thoughtfully to figure out who it belonged to, and the money was returned to me. I appreciated how they handled it. The hotel also has modern rooms, sea views, hot water and electricity around the clock, and felt safe. Prices were good too. One drawback: the elevator only runs for eight hours a day.

The location is lovely, right in the heart of beirut, facing the Pigeon Rock and next to Starbucks. I came back a year after my first stay and was surprised by how much maintenance had been done after I shared feedback about the toilet and furniture. That first visit would have been a 7/10 for me, but the improvements made a big difference. Customer service is excellent, and I really recommend the hotel.
