Portaluna is such a lovely five-star hotel, possibly the only one in Jounieh, Lebanon. The family-run business has put care into every detail, from the outdoor dining and indoor reception to the rooms. The palm trees looking out over the Mediterranean are magical, especially at Christmas in 2025. I’m so happy Portaluna is in Jounieh. Their sister hotel, The Reston, across from me is lovely too. The owners have created a luxurious experience in one of Lebanon’s most beautiful places. Thank you, and Merry Christmas!

This was a really enjoyable stay. The room had a stunning view, especially at sunrise and sunset, and the staff were welcoming, helpful, and always smiling. It’s clean, in a good location, and very affordable. The hotel isn’t high-end or luxurious, but it has what you need for a comfortable stay without five-star finishes. I’d happily come back, and recommend it to travelers who value the experience and the people more than luxury details.

We’ve stayed at Portaluna several times, and it’s wow every time 👌. What stands out for me most is the service and comfort, along with its location and very affordable low-season deals. It works for an overnight stop when I’m on business, or just to relax by the beach, watch paragliders land, and see the boats and fishing activity. We’ve been treated this way on every visit.

The 10th floor gave us an amazing panoramic sea view, and the staff were wonderful. Breakfast was great, with lots of fresh baked options at the buffet. The gym was okay-ish and the pool was very cosy. My partner and I had a wonderful weekend here. It’s worth the money, highly recommended!
