It felt peaceful, romantic, and private, with lovely gardens, ocean views, and thoughtful design. The food and service mattered more to me than having lots of amenities. It’s a place for relaxing and unwinding, rather than a high-energy party resort.

The apartment was very clean and comfortable, with air conditioning, a kitchen, and a washer and dryer. The pool was warm, the gym was there if you wanted it, and breakfast fried bakes were yummy. The entrance had security, reception service was great, and the place was quiet and peaceful. You’ll need mosquito spray, cream, or coils because there are no nets on the windows, doors, or beds. It’s also quite far in, so you’ll have to drive to get anywhere.

We loved our stay at this gated, quiet resort. The staff and security were friendly, and the pool was so quiet that we usually had it to ourselves.

The property is beautiful, but it didn’t feel fully ready for guests. We went 3.5 days without washcloths, the microwave in our unit didn’t work, and the air conditioning was out in one bedroom for two nights. There’s just one place to eat, with limited food choices. The pool bar shuts at 6pm, and there’s no outdoor lighting at night, which doesn’t feel safe for resort guests. There are TVs only in the living room or common area, not in the main bedrooms.
