We had a great time celebrating a birthday here. The courts for tennis and pickleball were lovely, and the gym was nice too. The coffee shop staff were so friendly, and the coffee was great. Food and service were both good across the restaurants. Book hibachi early if you want to go, since that’s the only place that takes reservations. Our swim-up room had nice views, but the water was so cold we hardly used the pool. It was also an older crowd, which suited us well since things stayed quiet without loud parties.

The dinners were the standout for me. I’ve stayed at several other 4-5 star resorts in Saint Lucia, and this was the best resort food I’ve had there. The restaurants were consistently well done, even though some options were better than others. Breakfast was just alright, but dinner was on another level, honestly better than some Michelin-star restaurants I’ve tried. It’s a quiet place geared more toward relaxing than socializing. There aren’t many events, so anyone after a lively party scene may find it too calm. That peaceful atmosphere was just what I wanted for unwinding and disconnecting. The beach was clean and well maintained, and the ocean views were nice, though not unforgettable or a major highlight. What I’ll remember most is the staff. I left something behind by accident, and employees were genuinely concerned and went out of their way to drive it back to me in person. That kind of care really stood out.

We went for my mom’s 60th birthday and had such a fun time. The food was great at every meal, and the grounds are lush with a beautiful beach. The resort is fairly new, and they keep making little improvements based on feedback. The staff are what really make it special. They’re genuinely kind, remember your name, and take time to get to know you. Merkell from entertainment is so positive and joyful, and it’s clear he loves his job. Chester at the theater bar was amazing, the best bartender ever. DJ Kell plays the BEST music and brings so much energy. I don’t usually leave reviews, but this one deserved it. 10/10 recommend!

I came in with low expectations after only staying at 5 Diamond Secrets properties in Mexico, but I was pleasantly surprised and would gladly return. It doesn’t have the same luxury as Maroma or Akumal, more like a little sister with a lot of heart. They’ve done a good job turning this converted property into a Secrets resort. The decor has the feel of a fancy nautical cottage in the Hamptons. Staff were friendly and professional, and everything was very clean. The buffet at Market Cafe is much smaller than at the 5 Diamond places, as you’d expect, but it was good enough. We enjoyed all the restaurants. The braised lamb at the French restaurant was a standout, though all the food was good. The spa isn’t on the same level as those 5 💎 properties, but it was still good. I honestly have no complaints. The beach is calm, clean, and good for swimming, with no sargassum. If it did show up, I suspect they’d clear it before you saw it. We rented a cabana most days, though the beach and pool beds are fine too, especially under a hut or umbrella, unless you like baking in the sun. Given how the property is laid out, I don’t think you can get a bad room. I’m more of a beach person and didn’t use the pool much, though people seemed to enjoy it. There are plenty of activities, a good variety of tours, and different ways to travel to and from the airport, including shuttle, boat, or helicopter. I went horseback riding. It’s a beautiful island with beautiful views and people, and I can see this being my quieter, smaller, less expensive alternative to the 5 Diamond resorts.

The staff were very warm and helpful, and we appreciated their kindness. Still, we left early because the problems around the resort made it hard to enjoy the vacation we’d looked forward to. My wife has pet allergies and is afraid of animals, so finding cats around our feet while eating or trying to relax was stressful. We raised it with staff and were told they weren’t allowed to chase the cats away. There were cats in the dining areas at breakfast, lunch, and dinner, running under tables and chairs looking for food. At the beach, dogs were barking when we went down to relax. On our first arrival, the room had a strong mildew smell, and when we opened the patio door, two cats suddenly rushed out of the bushes and across our feet, which startled me. We also found all the pool chairs taken. We were told we’d need to get there around 6:30 a.m. to reserve one. The kind staff aside, the resort should address the animals roaming the property, the mildew smell in rooms, and the lack of pool seating. Fixing those things would make guests’ stays much better.
