I spent five weeks there and loved sharing daily life with Joannes & Cyrina. They’re warm, lovely people who care about meeting others and sharing their culture. Joannes enjoys showing visitors around the island and talking about its culture and spirituality, while Cyrina makes delicious local food, with half-board available. I felt genuinely welcome, and really enjoyed all the conversations and discoveries. The house is well placed for exploring the island, and the rooms are very comfortable, surrounded by lush forest. At night it feels magical, with stars, fireflies, and frogs. Given the condition of the roads, I wouldn’t recommend renting a car. Joannes can provide taxi rides at a reasonable price. It was the kind of openhearted, generous sharing I love. I’m very happy to recommend staying with them to discover this beautiful island. Thank you for everything!

Joannes’s home is set in a beautiful mountain location, with peaceful scenery all around. I booked a room through airbnb for a great price and got everything I’d hoped for, plus more. He picked me up at the airport and, through his taxi service, drove me to the places I wanted to explore. Serena made wonderful home-cooked meals that I’d highly recommend. It was a relaxing, healing stay, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. Many thanks!

The house is tucked high among the trees, close to the pitons and sulphur springs, and it’s very peaceful. My room was spacious and clean. Mitch and Serena were kind and helpful, and made me feel at home. Serena’s cooking was delicious and good value. One thing to keep in mind, the location is a little different from the pin on Google.

The villa is in a beautiful valley, and from our balcony we could see Soufriere and the Petite Piton. It’s only a 15 min drive from Soufriere. My GF and I booked through airbnb and stayed for 4 days. Johannes and Serena were gracious hosts, and both were lovely to talk with. They really want tourists to feel safe and enjoy themselves. Serena cooked delicious traditional meals at very reasonable prices, and beer, liquor, and WiFi were available. Johannes also runs a taxi service and picked us up at the airport even though our flight was delayed.

Mitch and Serena are wonderful, and this is a peaceful jungle spot to get away from town while you’re in St Lucia. If you’re driving, Google Maps has the location wrong. Search for "boinin heart Villa" instead. I suggested a correction, but it hasn’t been accepted yet.
